Hi I’m Kelsey Maeve, somatic coach, and I have struggled with a lifetime of chronic dissatisfaction & disappointment.
As a complex trauma survivor, it hasn’t always felt safe to inhabit my body - let alone allow myself pleasure. And I have learned from capitalism that time is money, resting is a waste of time, and I am never doing enough.
I have seen first hand in my own life and in my work with clients as a trauma resolution coach that this chronic sense of not-enoughness can pervade every aspect of our lives.
It can leave us in a constant state of hustle & stress, helplessly hoping that SOMEDAY we will have enough/be enough/finally reach a place of satisfaction.
And this is no way to live.
You and I want fulfillment NOW.
And that does’t mean throwing in the towel, extracting from others or being lazy.
What if allowing ourselves to receive fulfillment - on a cellular level - is a necessary ingredient in the recipe of co-creating the world where we can all truly have enough?
Yes, there is work to be done. The world is on fire in so many ways and we are definitely in an all-hands on deck moment. Systems of oppression like radicalized capitalism, colonialism & consumerism contribute to the rampant violence, extraction and stress cycles that cause us to feel so unsatisfied- and for good reason!
How can we continue to work towards collective liberation without self-extraction, hustle & burnout?
I’m gonna guess that if you are here reading this, you are here to take responsibility for your own satisfiability, for the sake of having more to give. To meet life half way and allow yourself to be filled up and well nourished, so that you can nourish those around you. That you are eager to find a balance between giving & receiving that feels just right.
